Rapidly growing Anti-Benchmark® asset manager adds Zürich, Dublin and Toronto Operations

8th September 2016: TOBAM, the asset manager which invented the Maximum Diversification® approach, has significantly widened its global footprint with the recent launch of three new offices. The new operations in Zürich, Toronto and Dublin bring the firm’s total offices to seven – complementing its exisiting Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Cape Town offices.

TOBAM celebrates this year its 10th anniversary and the firm’s rapid expansion underlines the appetite for its unique Anti-Benchmark® strategies from investors across the globe. TOBAM manages $9 billion for investors across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. The new offices will provide on-the-ground support for its client bases in Europe and North America, as well as a mandate to further grow the firm’s global AUM.

The Zürich office will be managed by Beat Egger, who will hold the position of Managing Director, Business Development for Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein. Beat will leverage his existing relationships in this region to promote TOBAM’s flagship Anti-Benchmark to the region extensive base of pension funds, fiduciary managers and wealth managers. 30% of TOBAM’s current AuM are already sourced from this region.

The Dublin office will be managed by the firm’s Chief Operations Officer David Bellaiche. TOBAM will aim to capitalise on Dublin’s qualities as a technology hub and a gateway to the global funds industry.

The new Toronto office will complement TOBAM’s four-people New York team. The office will provide client relationships services to TOBAM’s clients in Canada, and provide support for the firm’s recently announced strategic partnership in Canada.

Christophe Roehri, Managing Director, commented:From the outset, TOBAM has always thought of itself as a global company. We have seen a huge amount of interest in our unique investment process and inflows into our strategies have continued to come in from across the world. The new offices are not just testament to the remarkable growth we have enjoyed, they also demonstrate our commitment to providing the best possible, on-the-ground service to our clients.

We have made high calibre appointments across the new operations, and the extensive local expertise they bring will help us further develop our relationships with institutional and wealth management clients across some of our key investor territories.
